Client: Alexandra Palace & Park
Charitable Trust
Continuous consultancy beginning soon after
completion of phases 1 & 2 by the Development
Team. Various projects of repair, maintenance
and re-design of portions of the 7 acre,
multi-use building in Muswell Hill North London.
Chatham Maritime
Worked for the Design & Build contractor
producing detailed drawings from outline
sketches supplied by the client. This work was
carried out in conjunction with Gilbert &
Caswell Surveyors.
Excel English Language School
History:
Planning permission 1996 - Completed phase 1
1999
Obtained permission to over double the existing
build area in metropolitan open land and a
conservation area. Phase 1 is shown above. The
work consisted of 8 classrooms, a reception
office, student's room, staff room, computer
room, principal's office and library.
The building of this school was project managed
by Richard Loren.
Cost £250,000
Lewes Station
History:
Planning permission august 1998 - Design & Build
contract
This contract involved the refurbishment of the
railway station by renewing all roofs, cleaning
the exterior, overhauling the windows and doors,
repairing and replacing steelwork, rebuilding
the canopies and redecorating the booking hall.
All consultants were employer by the main
contractor as part of a design and build
contract.

Cost: £5,000,000
Fred Knight Pavilion
History:
Planning permission received August 1998,
completed August 1999
This building was an existing 1920's single
storey, flat roofed pavilion, belonging to the
Gas Board. The client was a local sports charity
called "Community Action Sports" We helped
them apply successfully for Lottery funding to
build the new first floor and renovate the
existing football pitches. This was followed by
the preparation of detailed drawings and a
negotiated tender and construction.
The ground floor is let out to a five-a-side
football company.
